Dear Sir,
It would appear that the media campaign against Rafa Benitez shows no sign of abating. In fact even after 6 years it appears to be gaining momentum.
As a lifelong Liverpool supporter I give the manager my wholehearted support in the face of this deliberate and continued attempt by the media in this country to discredit him at every opportunity.
We are only too aware of the agenda being perpetrated as we have been watching with increased frustration and disbelief for a long time now.
We can seperate The Truth from the lies and the opinion masquerading as facts regarding our club, as we live and breath them every day.
We are painfully aware of where the real problem lies inside our club and feel that should be what the medias focus should be on.

We are supporters of Liverpool Football Club, and our history has taught us many things. There is very little we haven't seen, heard or experienced. We have been fortunate to have had some of the greatest managers the football world has ever known. So I think we are suitably qualified to make a judgement on our current manager without the need for the media to attempt to influence and patronise us with their version of Rafa Benitez and his achievements at Liverpool.

No amount of speculation and innuendo on the part of the media will change our level of support for Mr Benitez as we firmly believe he is the right man to be at the helm of our great club.
In fact, the more the media attempts to skew the facts, the stronger our support will become.
It would be grossly unfair of us to tar all of the media outlets/journalists with the same brush. However I feel that those who's only interests are to report the true story rather than an agenda driven one are in the minority.
You will know as an individual which camp you and your employer fall into and I can assure you that so do we.

By all means report what you see, that is your right. However it's well worth taking note that there are those of us out there that are intelligent enough to see through different eyes.

Sirs,

I wanted to voice my support for our manager, Rafa Benitez, and at the same time express my concern at the ongoing attempts by the media to oust Rafa Benitez from our club.

I am a lifelong supporter of LFC and feel compelled at this stage to request that the witch-hunt be stopped.

The fact is that newspapers and other media outlets require stories to sell. However it is not, in my opinion, the role of the media to create news, just to report it. The near incessant rumour mill and story-mongering over the last number of years seems to be intensifying rather than abating. This degrades your industry and those who ply their trade there.

The fact is that Rafa Benitez has done an immense job at LFC since his arrival. We are consistently more successful in Europe than at any time since the 80s and are building a squad on the morsels of funds available that will soon challenge for the title once again (as it did last season). This whilst facing uncertainty in his position whilst being undermined by elements within both the club and the media (if the media on such issues is to be believed)

Whilst I understand your belief that you need to build a media frenzy in order to keep your chosen media platform important, I implore you to start reporting NEWS rather than RUMOUR.

There is a portion of fans of my club who are starting to repeat your rumours as truth. With the availability of electronic media, a rumour can spread quicker than ever. As such I feel it is a journalists responsibility to ensure accuracy of reports.

I support my club and manager through and through.

I am nowadays more and more selective about what journalists I will read or won't read regarding LFC.

I would appreciate if you could give our manager a break and allow us the opportunity to support him through the lows as well as the highs without the constant threat of him leaving/being pushed.

I thank you for your time.

Hello my name is _______ and I am a life long supporter of Liverpool Football club.

Recently there have been more and more rumours in the press that Rafa Benitez will be quitting Liverpool. I would like to take this opportunity to say that I do not want Rafa to leave our football club. He is been a great leader over the last 6 years, giving me many joyous memories like winning the European Cup in 2005 and another FA Cup in 2007.

Rafa has to put up with a lot from the press, constantly being hounded every week. Not many managers would put up with this and I don't even have to mention how difficult his job is already with the lack of transfer funds thanks to our American Owners.

Rafa is a man who understands Liverpool. The history, the fans and the tragedy and sorrow surrounding the Hillsborough disaster. He is a man I have the up-most respect for and would be very upset if he decided to leave.

Liverpool FC is a mess at the moment, and it would become even worse if Rafa left/got sacked. There are only 2 people to blame for the mess that our famous club has become and its Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

Dear Sir,

I am a lifelong Liverpool supporter and am composing this e-mail regarding Liverpool Football Club and in particular, Rafael Benitez. I feel that the current reporting and alleged contrived press attacks by certain Liverpool boardroom members on Rafa may drive him out of the club.

If he were to leave for the above reasons, I think it would be an example of off the pitch issues taking precedence over on the pitch performance. Therefore, I would like to offer my support to the job Rafa has done and will hopefully continue to do for many years to come. As the saying goes a single swallow does not a summer make, and in 6 seasons Rafa has lead Liverpool to 5 finals, achieved our greatest premier league points total twice and overseen comprehensive defeats of some of the best teams in the world. He has made us one of the best teams in Europe again. He has given us three players that are arguably the best in the world in their position; Reina, Mascherano, Torres and others who could go on to be; Johnson and Agger. He has been under the most restrictive of regimes and only until recently was he given the freedom to revamp the club from top to bottom, whilst not being given any transfer funds in the last three transfer windows that he hadn't raised himself.

Having read and heard a lot during the past six seasons since Benitez arrived here, I think that present articles and reports tend to come across as nasty and personal and these have become progressively worse regarding our manager. I can only speculate as to the reasons why.

As a Liverpool fan, I believe in backing the manager - he is part of the club - and no amount of negative press could alter my views. By all means report what you see, that is your right. However it's well worth taking note that there are those of us out there that are intelligent enough to see through different eyes.

I am aware you may be receiving other e-mails regarding this. I can only hope this makes you more aware some of what our supporters feel.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

YNWA
